Q: When will the 2011 Hyundai Elantra be available?
Just saw pics of the new 2011 Elantra/Avante. Looks incredible! Does anyone know when it will be released in the U.S.?
A: word is late July and most likely no later then August. they should start trickling in at first with more and more becoming readily available in the following weeks and months
this is what i have read, so thats all i've got. but it sounds reasonable to me. i don't think they want the release around the holidays or New Year, and certainly not right after the new year. thats sort of late and by that time plenty of cars should be on the lots and ready to sell, with the 2010's already blown out
probably be a great time to get a real bargain on a 2010 model for anyone interested, too. and yeah, i agree the new Elantra is a nice car. i asked a "yahoo" question about it last week concerning the Civic and Corolla =]
here are some nice wallpaper size studio pics

i think the car will look more ordinary then these upper trim level cars with bigger wheels and tires and chrome door handles, but even in GLS form it will be attractive, no doubt
Q: What do you think about this video of the new 2011 Hyundai Elantra/Avante?!?

Wow.. just wow.. comments?!
HyundaiGuru, can you believe how stylish Hyundai is becoming?
ricardo, try again.. Hyundai is very reliable and has been becoming more and more reliabile over the last several years and the critics agree.

HyundaiGuru, is your dealership excited about the upcoming Elantra?
A: yes

i dont think it is good cra
Q: Is the new Elantra design a 2011 or 2012 model?
On Edmunds it shows a picture of the new design for the 2011 Elantra page. http://www.edmunds.com/hyundai/elantra/2011/index.html
But Wikipedia says it will be a 2012 model? When will this new design be sold?
A: its a 2011 model, sure. word is it could be released in October with a trickle coming in toward years end and dealers well stocked sometime around January
some say late September, too. so the car will be at the dealers for the holidays. but "official" release dates are hard to pin, as no one really knows for sure until all the bugs have been ironed out, the marketing is in place, and the finished product is ready to go. one thing is most certain, however. and that is between early fall and early winter of this year the new Elantra should be here
but i am keeping my '08!!
Q: Toyota Corolla 2010 OR Hyundai Elantra 2011?
ok i really like Corolla but my dad says Elantra is much better
n it's for me
and do u think it's stupid thing to buy manual car
we used to have one i love it
thanks :)
A: If you're talking about the brand new Elantra coming out later this year it will be MUCH better than the Corolla. You're basically comparing a car riding on a 5 year old platform to a completely new car that may have heated rear seats and may get up to 40 mpg. The current Elantra is just as good as the Corolla so neither car would be a bad pick but the new Elantra coming up will be better all around. http://blogs.insideline.com/straightline/2010/04/2012-hyundai-elantra-unveiled-in-korea.html
Q: Is stability control standard on the 2011 Elantra?
I know that right now electronic stability control is only available on the highest end Elantra. But with the government's push towards making it more common, will stability control be standard on even the lowest end 2011 Elantra? I heard it ESC is required to be standard on 95% of 2011 model cars, and with Hyundai already making it available on some Elantras, I'm hoping.
Thanks
A: yes, it will be standard on all upcoming hyundai models. in 2012 every new passenger car sold as in the U.S. must be so equipped, so automakers are making the jump
Q: What do you think about the next Elantra?! Wow!?
http://www.worldcarfans.com/110042925931/all-new-2011-hyundai-elantra--avante-unveiled
Wow I have a 2003 Elantra and I don't even recognize it anymore... the 2011 is going to be absolutely beautiful.
umm there are no shots of the interior.. the only 'spied' shots of the interior were from early this year and it wasn't finished.
A: well being an owner of the current gen i would have to say i like the coming one a lot. its good to see hyundai finally has a brand identity. in the past each model looked so different then one another they could have been made by any number of car makers. now with the new designs and styling you can look at the cars and say "i can tell thats a hyundai." in the past if you pulled the badges off the cars and asked a focus group who made the car you would get a lot of different guesses. now with the new styling people will recognize a hyundai the same way they recognize a honda. family resemblance, uniform styling across all model lines
i like that i can park MY Elantra next to the new generation cars and you can see where those cars design and styling came from. they were headed in the right direction with the current Elantra and by looking at the design and improving upon it, they have come up with some nice looking cars.
Q: Which car is prettier, cool?
toyota corolla
hyundai elantra 2011
hyundai sonata 2011
mazda 3
any other for less than 20K...?
A: i prefer the Toyota, silver with tinted windows really looks good,
great mpg, and they hold their value better than any of the
other ones
Honda Civic is another good choice
great resale its like money in the bank
Q: Availability of 2012 Elantra in US?
So the new design of the Hyundai Elantra will only be available in the US starting as a 2012 model, is that correct? Anyone know what part of 2011 it will become available?
A: If I remember correctly, it will debut at the LA Auto Show in December and go on sale in spring 2011.
Q: Which one of these cars should i get?
1. Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2010
2. Hyundai Elantra Avante 2011
3. Kia Forte Koup
4. Kia Soul
5. Mazda 2
A: since imma speed demon, i would go with da Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2010, great drive and its pretty good for the price 300bhp under the hood.
Q: Is Hyundai a good car?
I hear mixed reviews about Hyundai. Some people say it's a junk car while on the other hand some people say it's come a long way and is up there with Nissan, Toyota, and Honda. I went looking for my first car today with my mom and we looked at the 2011 Sontata and Elantra. They seemed like decent cars. Does anyone own a Hyundai, if so would you recommend it? Also where can I find reliable reviews other than consumer reports? Thanks in advance
A: both those cars are very good. they are safe choices, and the Elantra has proven to be very reliable. i have a 2008 model and its great.
know this, however. the Elantra you saw today was not a 2011 unless the dealer has a pre production model for display. the 2011 Elantra, which has been redesigned inside and out, is due later this year or the beginning of next. because of this great deals on the 2010 model can be had, as dealers have to move stock for the 2011's
just a heads up. if you get a 2010 Elantra it will be the outgoing model. so you should get a very good deal on it if you try
oh, and leave room in your budget to change the tires if choosing the Elantra. the tires which come on the car provide a somewhat noisy, course ride as they are very firm. i bought these and those areas improved for the better substantially

just a heads up
EDIT: oh, and reviews by hundreds of owners here
2008 Elantra (same as 2010 but lots more reviews then the 2009 - 2010 model)
http://www.edmunds.com/hyundai/elantra/2008/index.html
and the 2011 Sonata
http://www.edmunds.com/hyundai/sonata/2011/index.html
Q: Best car under 20K?.............?
I will buy a car in cash. I want a new model, these are my options:
hyundai sonata 2011, elantra 2011
toyota corolla 2010, scion tc
mazda 3
there are too many that i like...
can you give me any recommendation? best value for the car? car with lowest cost of ownership? which one looks better?
mx moose- are you tallking about american dollars or australian dollars?
the prices you gave me doesnt seem to fit with those cars...
A: Ok now realistically its going to be hard compare those year models as vehicles change each year e.g more features an upgrade in a certain area. If I was to tell you the best car for 09' It wont be a Hyundai for starters they have a bad name reason being they had a few faults with there gear box's. I'm honestly not familiar with the scion tc. Now we are down to the Toyota Corolla ZRE152R Edge Hatchback 5dr Man 6sp 1.8i and mazda 3 BL Series 1 Maxx Sport Hatchback 5dr Activematic 5sp 2.0i . The toyota corolla has always been no.1 small car and doesn't mean you shouldn't buy the mazda 3. Go on this website (www.redbookcom.au) and compare there is alot of standered equipment in both cars and are very similar the only thing thats different excluding the equipment is the price - Corolla - $22,240, Mazda 3 - $29,750. Good Luck !

Q: Starting the new car hunt: Which practical wagon/CUV would you choose?
My wife's car, a 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8 automatic, has started having a few quirks that make us uneasy. With 100,000 miles on the odometer and the car nearly paid-off, we're thinking very seriously about starting the hunt for a new car now, before any big issues rear their ugly head. She has about 65 miles of commute everyday, and we work different shifts (she's on second shift, I'm on first) in different towns, so she really needs something dependable. Plus I don't want to spend weekends working on her car, as I increasingly find myself, instead of spending time with her.
We've been making a list of possible candidates that we want to whittle down over the next year or so. With that said, bear in mind we'll probably be looking at lightly used or "program" cars that are a year or two old, and we won't be doing any serious shopping until late 2010-early 2011. Here's our list of cars to check out so far:
* Ford Escape (2.5 four-cylinder, front-wheel drive, automatic transmission)
* Chevy Equinox (2.4 four-cylinder, front-wheel drive, automatic transmission)
* Nissan Cube 1.8S (1.8 four-cylinder, front-wheel drive, CVT automatic transmission)
* Hyundai Elantra Touring (2.0 four-cylinder, front-wheel drive, automatic transmission)
* Scion xD (1.8 four-cylinder, front-wheel drive, automatic transmission)
* Suzuki SX4 Wagon (2.0 four-cylinder, front-wheel drive, CVT automatic transmission)
* Chevrolet HHR (2.2 four-cylinder, front-wheel drive, automatic transmission)
* Mazda 5 (2.3 four-cylinder, front-wheel drive, automatic transmission)
Which do you like, and why? Are the others you'd include on the list?
A: Personally I am ahuge fan of GM cars,ut in this case I am not so sure I would pick, styleistically, However if you are looking for a car that will run excess of 160,000 miles I would go witht he GM, It is not just that I am an american motorhead this is my real world experience. A friend has a mazda, and that car is quite efficient. The cube however I feel like is a waste of time,it's ugly and small and from wht I have seen can't quite fit as much in it as you would expect. The hyundais are notoriousl for have crappy timing chains that crap out ,this is a costly repair. I would personally Go with either the Scion or Equinox. That is my opinion. Enjoy!
