Q: I have a 2007 Hyundai Sonata that the panic system just randomly comes on.?
This only happens during the day when it is really hot outside. The only solution that seems to work so far is cracking the windows during the day.
A: the weather should not make much of a difference on the alarm sounding. i live in florida and we have not had any weather complaints on the alarms. try this; set the alarm and then go the the passenger front of the hood. lightly pick up on the hood with a few fingers and see if the alarm sounds. if it does you will need to get a replacement hood switch pad from the dealer. if you have less than 60k on the car it is covered under warranty.
Q: What might it cost for me to repair my front bumper cover on a 2007 Hyundai Sonata?
The front bumper cover on my 2007 Hyundai sonata has a big hole and a crack in it. I don't want to turn it into my insurance because it's my fault I let it happen. Anyways, I am just curious what it might cost to repair. I know every place is different, but I want to know what I might need to save because if it is a lot it might take me a while.
Also, on this now I call piece of crap car. The outside door handle popped off on the driver's side door. I have been trying every place imaginable, but I can't get anyone to figure out where I can order the part from. I haven't even been able to get Hyundai to respond to me yet. I'm having no luck.
If anyone has an ideas please let me know. I used to love my car, but right now we aren't getting along so well. Ha ha
A: this is just one place, but i'm sure many more exist. this was just the first link in a google search. prices vary a bit

and more

and you may need some of this if damaged:

order it and have a place paint it and bolt it on. now that you know how much the part is, you can start to research the paint and labor cost. so long as no other parts are damaged or need replacing, it should be fairly inexpensive. another part or two may need replacing, however
so far as the door handle i too am having a hard time locating one, but the door handle covers (in case thats what you mean) can be found with a bit of searching. you may also want to try local auto dismantlers (junk yards) as they save everything off cars they take apart
Q: I'm considering buying a 2007 Hyundai Sonata V6 engine, I'm not really sure about it, any comments on the car?
A: I have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6 which is the SE V6 in the 2007 and 2008 models. I got the car in 2005 when the model first came out so the car had some of those first model year bugs that Hyundai has since resolved. The two major problems I had with the car was the lack of seek buttons on the steering wheel controls and the suspension noise. Hyundai has since addressed both problems with the addition of seek buttons and they used a different set of shocks in the 2007 model. I test drove a 2007 out of curiosity when I heard they changed the shocks and found that the noise from the suspension had been remedied by this change.
The car is extremely quiet and it is very fast off the line. I really cannot remember when last I floored the accelerator because it responds with such speed that it is not necessary. The transmission is somewhat slow to downshift but that I have learned is due to the torque lockup converter first having to disengage before allowing gear change. (the torque lockup converter reduces unnecessary gear changes during highway driving to save fuel) The engine emits a low purr when it is first started and it sounds great when revved. The squeal of the tires when I do floor it is smile inducing. Contrary to many critics reviews I find the handling of the Sonata very secure and precise with some but not a lot of body roll. The Sonata is a mix of Accord and Camry ride and handling characteristics. The Sonata does the Car and Driver slalom @ 62mph while Camry and Accord do it @ 60 and 64mph respectively. I would say that I am an aggressive driver at times but I typically average 23mpg with an even mix of highway and city miles. The brakes are very responsive and stop the car in a shorter distance from 60mph than the Accord or Camry. (This is good for me because I tend to tailgate people that are driving slow in the leftmost lane.)
I like the look of the Sonata and I know a lot of people will disagree. The car is sleek and elegant. I don't like excessive folds in the sheet metal characteristic of some other cars. The interior is very spacious and comfortable although in the beige interior dirt and scuffs show up pretty easily. The dashboard is the only thing that looks off in this car. Simply using plastiwood straight across the dashboard incorporating the center vents while eliminating the wood around the A/C controls would fix its appearance (take a look at the Mercedes S550 dashboard as an example).
When you first drive a Sonata the ride may feel a bit harsh and the fuel economy may not be as expected but as it is broken in you will find that the ride will become more comfortable and fuel economy will improve. In the city the Sonata does not return great fuel economy. I have gotten 17mpg in pure city driving. On the highway however, I have gotten 33+mpg @ 60mph, 29mpg @ 70mph, and 26mpg @ 80+mph.
I would recommend the Sonata because of the price and the warranty and because you don't see it at every stop light. It is a great car and though the Japanese cars are better in some aspects when it comes down to it I would rather save some cash on the Sonata and put the savings away. I definitely think you should check out the new Accord, Camry and Altima. When I bought my Sonata it was newly redesigned and those other cars were in the middle of their design cycle. These cars are all new now and in the end you may not choose the Sonata but the fact that it can be considered among those other cars is just a testament to how great a car it is.
Q: Does any one know where i can buy a pair halo Hyundai Sonata 2007 headlights?
A: ebbayyy
Q: 2007 Hyundai Sonata 2.4L 4cyl. made by who?
So, who makes the Sonata/Optima 2.4L 4cyl? Is it actually made by Hyundai, Kia, or even Mitsubishi?
A: I believe the Sonata uses the "World Engine", a joint development between Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Chrysler, and maybe others. However, Hyundai implements this engine much better than Chrysler does.
Q: 2007 Hyundai Sonata - Carfax issues?
An accident has been reported, but no airbag deployment. Will this affect the car? how will it affect the resale value? Should i buy the car? its a 23000 mile 07 Hyundai sonata. the deal is very good otherwise.
A: You might probably looking at having a front bumper cover, absorber , reinforcement bar, radiator support and probably headlights and some holding brackets. An alignment must have been done to ensure proper wheel tracking. This is not being considered to be a major impact considering parts are soft (glass, plastic and light metal). To have a major impact, the force must be more than 3G force with seat belts worn or 2G's force without seat belts worn in order to have airbags deployed. Once airbags deployed, you're looking into replacing deployed airbags and set belts, change the SRSCM (air bag brain), replace dash, main airbag wiring harness, etc. I could go forever.
The fact of the matter that air bags have not deployed, it is considered minor impact. Air bag system had not been tampered and this is important.
I would buy the car if I where you.
Before you buy the car, make sure the recall was done (brake light switch replacement). This is the only one for this model.
Good luck with your decision.
****NOTE****
I have not votet yet any thumbs!!! Just FYI Kenny... I run the fixed Operation departtment at a Hyundai Dealer including a body shop and I have seen them all in HYUNDAI version. 10 years with same dealer would explain a lot ...I guess. Ultimately... I'm proud if I can help someone that needs help and doesn't know much about their Hyundai. I respect everybhody's answer. Each one has his opinion.
Q: does the 2007 hyundai sonata have an auxillary jack for my ipod?
A: I don't see a jack:
http://www.hyundaiusa.com/vehicle/sonata/gallery/photofullshot.aspx
& I searched their website for a clue...
I couldn't find any word about a jack.
I work at an auto mall with a Hyundai dealer across the street . I'll try to call 'em tomorrow & ask for ya.
I'll edit my answer then for you.
(in the meantime ...take a look at the Fusion...I KNOW they have an auxillary input jack...)
Q: Hyundai Sonata 2007 book?
Hi... I recently bought a Hyundai Sonata 2007
and I do not have the book about the car...
can i find that on the internet?
do i have to purchase it?
I am basically looking to find how many miles I need to get an oil change.... certain parts repaired... etc.
any info helps
thanks
A: If you want a new owners manual, you will have to order it from the dealer. They are not all that expensive.
It is very important that you purchase the owners manual and follow the scheduled maintenance.
If you got the car from a dealer, call them and tell them you want an owners manual. They might just get you one. (I would...)
Q: Hyundai Sonata 2007 - dealer refuses to honer service commitment?
I bought my Sonata in 2007 from a dealer close to us. When I bought the car, I was promised that I would get free Oil and Filter for 5 years. And rightly so the dealer serviced my car free for two years.
Now suddenly Hyundai closed that dealership. When I went to the new dealer today, he says that such commitment are only given by dealerships and are not transferable.....
Isnt that odd? To me that commitment was made by Hyundai and not a person? What should I do? Should I talk to Hyundai USA? Any contacts would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
A: Sorry for you lost of oil changes... It was made by the dealer, not Hyundai and the new dealer does not have to continue changing you oil. But to be nice and make new friends, I think it would be nice for the new dealer to change the oil for the next 3 years. That would make you happy and also make a future customer.
Q: how much would a paint job cost for a hyundai sonata 2007?
A: Depends on any rust, dents, etc.... a cheap job, $300/400, a good job, $3000/6000. Fancy custom jobs $10,000 plus.
Q: I have a 2007 Hyundai Sonata..?
They told me they had to take out the seats and and send them to the Hyundai factory to fix it where is the factory.. and would you know how long it takes? I miss my car..
A: Hyundai dealer must follow this procedure to perform the air bag recall related to PPD sensor. It usually takes about 2-3 days. Dealer should have been provided a loaner or replacement vehicle.
