A: The miles are above average but that could mean a lot of highway driving which isn't bad. Hyundai's have gotten much better over the years to the point of Japanese quality. No used car is guaranteed to be 100% reliable but chances are the Sonata will be a good car.
It's funny to me when people bash Hyundai's because they actually have been making good cars for a while now. My 2001 Hyundai Elantra has 160,000 miles on it............ all after two accidents, road trips up and down the entire east coast including Toronto Canada, and a thirty minute commute to work everyday. My Hyundai hasn't "fallen apart". Like you mentioned taking care of a car is key. Hopefully the one you're looking at has been.

A: You don't drain it. The is no such drain for this system. There is a machine that sucks out the dirty fluid and replaces it with new one. The reservoir itself its used for this job.Only a shop could afford to buy such machine. To amortize the investment in such tool you will have to do a lot of flushes to pay off the investment. I would rather recommend you to take it to a shop and get it done there This way its cheaper for you.

A: on the bottom side of the car under the fog light area there will be an inspection cover. it is held in place by two plastic trim clips. they will have what looks like a philips head on the screw. remove both of these then pull out the retainer (they are set up like a dry wall anchor). pull back the cover and unplug the bulb. twist the bulb counter clock wise to remove. install in reverse order.

A: There is no question a Toyota has a much better name than a Hyundai. Hyundai and Kia are at the bottom of every car list. They do not last, try to find a Hyundai or Kia that is older than a few years. Try to find a Toyota that is older than a few years. You can most likely look out your window and see a old Toyota and would have to drive all over town to find an old Hyundai.

I need some help installing the belt back on my Sonata. I've got the routing diagram but can't get the belt to go over all the pulleys even with the tensioner compressed all the way to the damper pulley. Am I missing something?
A: The tensioner needs to be cranked down as far as you can and when it stops, crank it down some more (verbatim from one of my techs).
Make sure the belt is going round all the pulleys.
Measure the new belt to the one you took off. Could be the wrong belt.
