Q: How much would it be to replace the front wheel bearing on my 2000 hyundai sonata?
I have a 2000 hyundai sonata and I'm in need of replacing my front left wheel bearing. How much would that cost including parts and labor? Should I take it to Meineke or cost
A: I replaced 2 front wheel bearings on an 01 Nissan Altima (same class for the most part) for $485. This was about 2 years ago, in Northern NJ, where labor rates run pretty high.
I had a 2000 Hyundai Elantra that needed 2 (but I sold) and their inclusion in the estimate was about the same - but I was getting a discount because I had about $1400 worth of other jobs that needed to be done on it (I ended up selling it).
One other thing: Many people assume that a Meineke or Pep Boys, any of the bigger chains, beats out the smaller independent mechanics and really this is usually not true. Especially if you continually go to the same mechanic. Despite their reputations, they appreciate and depend on your business so they're not going to rip you off. The national franchises aren't exactly the Wal-Marts of auto repair.
Q: Is it possible to tell condition of timing belt on 2000 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6?
Just bought an immaculate 2000 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6 with 118,000 miles on it. Car is perfect inside and out, drives perfect, always garaged, only one owner in 10 years. It is unknown if the owner did a "timing belt" change at any time. Is it possible to tell the condition of the timing belt and all of the pulleys without removing too many parts?
A: You can't judge a timing belt by looking at it, and if it breaks and you have an interference engine, you will be facing a huge repair bill. Follow the manufacturers recommendation on replacing it.
Q: Changing the third brake light in a Hyundai sonata?
I have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata and I need to change the third brake light which is in the back window. Even my mechanic can't figure it out! I really don't want to pay Hyundai $70 to do it...Does anyone know?
A: inside the trunk there is a acess panel that allows access to the rear light.
There is a panel that needs to be removed, the the wire unclipped, and unplugged from the socket, it can then be lowered down replace the bulb, and replace into scket, and reattach clip.

A: well seems if you know where the hose is to know its bad that alone would tell you what you need a wrench to fit the end of hose and turn the nut on end of line til it comes loose then follow hose to other end and remove that and replace same way really no much more can be said about it after you replace it crank car turn wheel all the way one way fill pump turn back the other way few times should pump all the air out... you can find how to replace power steering hose by just typing that you can find how to replace most any car part if you know the name of part even find a video of how one is done sometimes you shouldnt have any problems really its easy as what ive said and you can use autozone wedsite and find many repair info on most cars also
Q: Is 120,000 miles to many miles to have on a 2000 Hyundai Sonata?
I'm looking for used cars. I found a Hyundai Sonata from 2000 that has 120,000 miles on it. Do you think that is to many miles? I also live where it snows very heavy during the winter? If I were to purchase this car would the 120k be ok and are these cars good enough to drive through snow?
A: That mileage equals 12,000 per year, slightly below the average. I don't know what too many miles may be, but I think it should have more miles of life left in it. I would have a mechanic inspect the car and check the maintenance and replacement part history. With snow tires the car would be great in the snow, it is front wheel drive and doesn't have wide tires so it naturally will be decent in snow.

I need a steering wheel for my hyundai sonata 06 and was looking for one everywhere online but cant find it at all. Do they call it something different than a "steering wheel" lol?
A: I looked at this site for you http://car-part.com/index.htm. It list hundreds of different salvage yards in the US and Canada and most will ship parts. Some yards did have it so it may be helpful. The dealer is the only other place I can think of.

Q: Where do I find a new '05 Hyundai Sonata clock ?
I believe I need to replace the clock in my 2005 Hyundai Sonata. The clock turns on and off sporadically, and now has completely dead. I looked online and a lot of the Hyundai Parts sties didn't have one. Would I be better off just going to the dealership and getting one?

A: Yes, you need to replace it. Typical symptom. Get one from dealer or junkyard. These are the only two sources available on the market,..... unfortunately.

A: You might have an exhaust leak. one of the exhaust components being broken. You'll have to find out what you need and replace it. also, you can see if its possible to weld the spot.

A: You can wire them through the stock one, but they won't sound good. You need an amplifier and a crossover. Hook the amp to the deck, then the crossover to the amp so the sounds coming out of it are split into high and low frequencies. Send the low ones to the subs, and the higher ones to your main speakers.

The gas nozzle stops and clicks every few seconds, and I can't fill my gas tank. Gas gauge also does not work, it reads just under half a tank when it is full.

In my opinion i would say your car is worth around 3-4 thousand because it's a KIA, they dont have high resale value and plus it's a pretty old car,2001.
