Q: Hyundai accent?
Thinking about buying a 2002 hyundai accent GL. Any thoughts....decent car or no.....on a tight budget
A: That must be a tight budget, what does a used 2002 Accent cost now $3500 for one in good shape? Make sure the car passes inspection and have it checked by a mechanic for potential future problems before making any used car purchase regardless of brand. The Accent itself is certainly a decent car and great for those just starting to drive and on a budget.
Q: I need to know if a 99 hyundai accent coupe door will fit a 2005 version?
I have a 2005 Hyundai Accent coupe with the driver side door damaged. I bought the car with the door damaged already and I found out that if rains, water will go inside (a lot!) and I saw on internet a guy parting out his 1999 Hyundai Accent coupe. Does somebody know if his door will fit mine? Thanks a lot!
A: Nope.
Read about the Home Depot boycott in my profile.

Q: Are there any interchangeable transmissions for 2002 hyundai accent?
The transmission for my 2002 hyundai accent (manual /1.5 L/ SOHC) went out and I've been checking Auto-junk yards but no luck. Are there other hyundai's with a compatible transmission?
A: LUKE. I can't see from your profile where you're from. In Canada you can find a transmission at junk yards for about 400-600 CAD, depending on mileage. I can give you some websites or phone numbers, should you be interested.
Q: Is a 2005 Hyundai Accent a good first car for a new college student?
I am buying my first car and I found a really affordable 2005 Hyundai Accent. I believe it has been in a minor wreck and it has been used. Other than that it seems to be a fine car. I was wondering if I would be worth my money to buy the car and if it would last me for at least 5 years, preferably longer.
A: they're pretty good cars. especially for a college student. not too much will go wrong and if it does wont be too expensive. parts are fairly cheap.
depends on how many miles it has. and how much it is.
if it has under 50K miles, it's pretty good. i wouldnt pay more then about hmmm 6 - 7 thousand for it. if its close to 100Kmiles on the car. not a very good idea. would still last you a few years. but you might have some problems
Q: what does a dtml motor in a Hyundai Accent cost?
Looking at possibly replacing the dtml motor in my 2000 Hyundai Accent. (I have check engine light and code p1402). Anyone know a ballpark of what this could run?
A: looking at around $500 (+/-) for part alone. There is a TSB describing the entire repair procedure. The DMTL module connector could be rusted out and cause the MIL- to come ON relating this fault code. Check the connectors before replacing the module (less expensive to repair connector instead of replacing module)
Q: Is the Hyundai Accent 2001 a good exchange for my Mazda 626 1983?
Numerous people offer to buy my car daily for whatever price i ask for! So i finally gave up to their pestering and got in touch with a guy. He said he can exchange my red Mazda 626 1983 for a white Hyundai accent 2001 if i throw in about $400. The accent seems to be in a good shape. Now my question is, Is it worth 400 dollars to trade my Mazda for an accent, or am i better off with the Mazda?
A: Here's the Deal, i owned an 1987 626 (same as your with some minor tweaks) and I was a Hyundai Technician for 3 years. Bottom Line boils down to what do you use the car for? If it is your daily commuter, you have no attachment to it, if you truly love the car it is a different story. The 2001 accent is a good car, not many problems, but depending on the previous owner you could be in for trouble. I say this not because Hyundai is unreliable (opposite of the truth) is that people beat their cars and often try to ditch them before the blow up. Here's a list of things to consider:
1. The mileage. Even if your car has higher mileage, you put the miles on and you were the one who took care of your car. He could have driven it like it was a rental even if it has lower mileage than yours.
2. Automatic or manual tranny? A manual tranny is easier adapt to a new driver than an auto. And less expensive to replace. Accents didn't have bad auto trannies, but if they were abused and not flushed properly the could fail. A new tranny is not worth your head ache.
3. Saftey or Vehicle Inspection? The bottom line is you drive a vehicle that is right now no costing you anything, if you get the accent and he has not taken care of it and you go to get an inspection and it fails you could be out thousands of dollars for repair. insist on a vehicle inspection prior if he declines, know that there is something wrong.
4. The one good thing about the accent is the amount of parts that are available if anything ever did happen to it, from after-market to wrecker. Finding anything now for an older 626 is getting very hard and expensive. If the accent passes inspection, it may look like a money saver in the long run.
Hope this helps
Q: will a transmission off of a kia sephia bolt up to a hyundai accent?
I have a 2001 hyundai accent and the transmission has gone out. Im having a real hard time finding the same model car and I was wondering if the same year kia sephia transmission will bolt up to the accent engine.
A: nope two different transmissions will not bolt up to the block along with different axles and gear ratio along with wiring
Q: 2001 Hyundai Accent makes unusual noise when clutch engaged?
I recently purchased a 2001 Hyundai Accent, so I am not familiar with the specifics of the car yet. When I put my foot on the clutch, even if I just put a little tiny bit of pressure, it makes a sound like reminds me of high pressured air blowing, or light grinding. I can't describe it perfectly, but those are pretty close comparisons. The noise stops when the clutch is pushed all the way down to the floor. Is this normal? Or should I have it checked out?
A: Sounds like the throwout bearing, if it smells hot after driving in the city for a while I would get it checkd our otherwise I wouldn't worry

Q: Is 2001 hyundai accent a good thing to buy?
Before I get this car, I just want everybody's opinion.....How good is hyundai accent?

Q: How to get better performance/upgrades for Hyundai accent.?
Hey guys i have a 1998 Hyundai accent 1300cc, just wondering if there is anything i can do besides buying a new car/motor lol to make it perform better, i know some basics about cars, im just not sure where to start & which performance parts would be compatible with my car. Its quite a zippy little thing around town, i dont feel comfortable however driving it over 110kms as it just doesnt feel like it really can handle it. Any help would be appreciated :)
A: "buying a new car/motor lol to make it perform better,"
Go do that.
It's a Hyundai Accent. To get to the basic level of even a cheap sports car, would cost several TIMES the amount of just buying that same cheap sports car.
Toss it out, and get a car that performs better.
Q: How do you feel about the Hyundai Accent?
I'm considering buying a 2004 Hyundai Accent hatchback with 81K miles for $3200. Anyone know anything about these cars? Pros? Cons? Should I get it?
Help choosing my next car is greatly appreciated!!
A: Get the maintenance records and get it inspected. They can last upwards of 200K miles if you maintain them properly, but they on these cars you need to make sure you change the timing belt and water pump, religiously, every 60K miles.
Q: how difficult is replacing a clutch in hyundai accent?
1999 hyundai accent.how do i r3eplace the clutch.how do i test to see if it is the clutch?could it be a bad hydraulic line?
A: Test the clucth method-easiest way. Put in 4th gear, rev up to 1500 rpm's and release the clutch slowly. if the car moves, your clutch is still relatively good, if the car barely or not a all moves, you need to replace clutch. To replace clutch you must remove transmission. Nothin uot of ordinary in the procedure, is just time consuming and a lot of bolts and nuts to remove (and notlimited to)
